“Both our children have attended Jack in the box from the Bouncers room through to the Jumpers room. The experience they’ve have had has been second to none and the caring, supportive and child-centred focus from all of the staff has made the experience so positive and memorable- for all of us! The regular updates and feedback have enabled us as parents to feel fully involved with what’s happening in the nursery and helped us to support our children more effectively at home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jack in the Box to anyone looking for a nurturing day care setting.”

“We saw a few nurseries but we didn’t get the ‘feeling’ from the others we did from Jack in the Box. We knew it would be warm and inviting from the initial visit. Jemma and her team are all really friendly and greet our son with the biggest smile on a morning. Nothing is ever an issue for any of the team and they are always happy to help.  The support they provide is fantastic and they genuinely care about the development of the children in their care.”

“When I moved back to the Spennymoor area I was anxious about starting a new nursery, however the staff reassured me and were lovely, my twins took to it straight away and the girls working there. They would be excited each morning to go to nursery school which massively relieved my anxieties. Since starting jack in the box they have both grown into intelligent and playful toddlers and I can’t wait to watch them progress further in the next 2 years of nursery.”

“My 2 little girls both started this setting at 9 months old and quickly settled into the warm and welcoming baby room. As they’ve grown they’ve progressed through the nursery and have built strong bonds with all the staff. The resources are great with the girls doing a wide variety of activities both indoors and out. They enjoy the Fresh food prepared daily on site. Whilst I enjoy logging onto the online portal to catch up on what they’ve been up to and take a look at some of the pictures the nursery manage to capture of their fun filled days. Throughout all of the turmoil and uncertainly of the past year or so, the nursery has worked tremendously hard to accommodate all of the changing requirements and help keep some normality and routine for our little ones.”

“My daughter has been attending Jack in the box since she was 10months old and is now 3 1/2 so has been through every room. Each member of staff that I have spoken with have been friendly and approachable, and always happy to help. My daughter loves telling me who has been looking her and what fun they’ve had. She is always messy with art materials, mud or food when I pick her up which is the sign of a fun day! She really enjoys the meals too. I have been very impressed with Jack in the box, and made sure I put my son’s name on the waiting list as soon as he was born to make sure he can attend when I go back to work next year.”

“They have worked tirelessly to ensure that everybody is safe. Being able to go to Nursery even during the 2nd lockdown was a god send, it gave my son a small sense of normality. The staff are always so helpful, happy, smiley and give great feedback at pick up. My son has come on leaps and bounds since he started and that is all thanks to the amazing team there.”

“Jack in the Box day care looked after our little boy from age 1 to 4 years. He loved attending and made great bonds with the staff and the other children in his groups. His little sister has just started going to Jack in the Box as we were so happy with the care the staff provided the first time round, it was a no brainier to send his sister. The staff are very approachable, kind and they treat the children like they are their own. Our little boy learned some very good life skills in his time here and I’m sure his sister will benefit from learning them too. If you’re looking for a nursery, you won’t be disappointed with jack in the box.”

“My son Tristan has been attending Jack in the Box Springers room since he was 1.5 years old and he has now moved on to Tudhoe Moor Preschool room and is almost 4. We loved how the carers have taken the time to get to know him but also whenever I have any queries or recommendations, Jemma and Julia were always there to listen and even took the time to meet with me in instances. The communication between us as parents and the team has been great and I can honestly say Jemma has really listened to any concerns/queries I have had and made me feel listened to as a parent.  The carers in the room, my son is absolutely in love with his favourites that he has been able to move with from the Springers room to the preschool room, which has made a real difference where he feels settled and comfortable. And the friends he has made have also come up with him through the last few years and I can only hope they all go to the same school. It has been reassuring to see him make friends and blossom into a little boy with everyone’s help. He will miss Naomi, Jessica and Amber when he goes to School!”

“I couldn’t recommend Jack in the Box Day Care enough. Both of my boys started at 9 months old and settled in straight away. My eldest went right the way through and is now thriving at school, which I owe a lot to the nursery for all of their hard work with him. He has not always been perfect but the staff were always so pleasant with him regardless. I wouldn’t have taken my youngest anywhere else and he is still there enjoying every day he is there. He always comes home excited to tell me all of the fun things he has done. Every single member of the team is lovely and they do an amazing job. Jack in the Box is a brilliant nursery.”

“Both of my boys have attended Jack In the Box and I can not fault them in any way. Staff are all kind, welcoming and amazing with all of the children. My second child attended from the age of 4 months old and I have never felt uncomfortable about leaving him at any age, he has built such an amazing relationship and bond with all staff members. The Facebook page shares the children’s groups song and story of the week which my little boy loves to watch when he is at home. I personally rate the nursery and staff as outstanding.”

“Jack in the Box is a fantastic Nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was under a year old and her speech and confidence has grown massively since starting. She has made a lot of friends and has a great relationship with her teachers. They learn something new every day and I think it is amazing that they have so many activities for them to do both inside and outside the Nursery to keep them entertained. “Choosing Jack in the box has been one of the best parenting decisions I made. We have been through every room at the nursery and the standard of care they have given my daughter throughout her time is just exceptional. I am amazed by what Holly learns each day and the way she is encouraged and supported is phenomenal. “I connect is a great way to keep in touch with seeing what my child does in nursery. It is great to see him so happy and reassures me as a parent after dropping him of on a morning. I like to send photos of our weekend so James can show his friends and talk to the ladies about it. After sharing photos of our day out to the seal life centre it was lovely to see that the ladies had turned the water tray into a big fish tank so James could talk about it at nursery.”
